A local desk, not a platform
Basque Coast Weddings is run from Biarritz. It exists to introduce couples to planners and venues on this particular stretch of Atlantic — not to sell a package, and not to rank whoever pays the most.
Who runs this
The site is written and operated by someone who lives in Biarritz and works along the coast from the Landes border down to Hondarribia and San Sebastián. The guides are reported locally: rooms visited, prices asked, town halls telephoned. When we do not know, we say so.
Based in Biarritz
Living here matters. Vendors change chefs, châteaux change hands, and a terrace that was quiet in May can be impossible in August. A Biarritz address means the introductions come from current conversations, not from a directory compiled two summers ago.
How the referral model works
You tell us what you are planning. We suggest a small number of planners and venues that fit — typically two or three, not a list of twelve. You speak with them yourselves. If you book someone we introduced, that vendor may pay us a referral fee. You are never invoiced by Basque Coast Weddings.
A note on fees
Some venues, planners, and other vendors pay referral fees when a couple books after an introduction. That fee comes from the vendor, not from you, and it is not added to your quote. We do not accept payment to appear in a guide, and we will not introduce a house we would not attend. If a conflict would affect a recommendation, we will say so in the email.
